When a calf is born the mother drops down under it and guides it to the surface so it can take it's first breath. Then she babysits the newborn so it can learn how to swim, dive and play. When it is tired it can just rest on mom's back for a bit. I am not sure I have ever sold this without the remarque because it cuts off the tail. However it looks great in blue and gray
