Rug, signed MH, Sweden. 1950s. SAD Designs Other than some light surfaceA flatweave or kilim rug featuring a mirrored geometric floral motif. A large rectangular border of flowers and chevrons of a multitude of colours paint this oatmeal white rug. Each row of flowers is divided by brown striped columns, conveying a methodical pattern. These watercolour gradient hues are fine examples of the Swedish palette in textiles and modern paintings, most notably with the works of MMF (Mrta Ms Fjetterstrm) and later Barbro Nilsen.
