Antique French Silver Watch Chain, Vintage French Silver Filigree Necklace filigree_watch_chain Hallmarked with a crabThis Victorian Era beauty was almost certainly cut down from a longer long guard chain and is composed of 800 900 silver. Hallmarked along the silver links and clasps with a crab and boar's head, the clasps were added later and assayed in Paris while the chain links were assayed in a department. Despite the chain's age the links are in excellent condition and very strong. The alignment of the dog clip clasp is slightly off but despite this it closes
