I have had a lot of this mixed in shelf display with blue white antique plates, platters, etain coffee pots, sugar bowls, and I love the look. Haven't ever put it to use, but certainly one could. The family crest you see lets you know it's from a family of note. Perhaps used in the servants quarters. Informally
