Colorado State Capitol Building Presentation:Matted I headed to Harbor Island

I headed to Harbor Island which is along San Diego Bay

I almost kept walking past the building but decided to stop and capture an image of the building itself

but it wasn‰۪t until I was heading back to the car that I noticed the reflection of this tree in the lake

Using my wide angle lens and getting low to the surface I wanted to bring a scene which a person could easily step into the image and place themselves on the dunes

This image was taken from a distance capturing just the roof of the building and the lines and patterns it creates on the Vancouver waterfront

The lower sunlight helps reflect the gold leaf on the dome itself and highlights the image amongst the changing trees.
